In reply to RajithR’s post on February 6, Says my system is up to date. I checked my update history and only thing I have listed is KB updates for Defender. Any further steps to try? Ronnie Vernon Volunteer Moderator. In reply to krkk77’s post on February 6, Hi You can download this update directly from the Windows Update Catalog website.
I attempted the fix suggested by Ronnie Vernon, however you have to have a working Internet Explorer because the Windows Update site doesn’t work with other browsers. Since loading build a working IE hasn’t been available. This is the first time since starting to use Win10 preview at least 3 months now that any serious problem has occurred. Up to now it’s been great. Cortana introduction to blame?

I ran the Windows Update repair, but it reports that there are no problems. Completely stumped at this point. I had no issues with Windows 10 up until this update. In reply to Rememo’s post on February 21, HI, I left windows 10 went back to 8. Will re-test it when new build iso is out. In reply to Dirk Swart’s post on February 21, Since original report, this update has now installed correctly according to Windows Update history. Nothing I did manually, so I suspect the main issue was failing to register properly and subsequent updates have fixed the Registry.

Explorer still not working, but not an issue as I use other Browsers anyway. Overall still happy using Win This site in other languages x. That’s something what you call Fog Computing. I would really want to see that and bullish for it. Assuming Windows 10 Mobile is still around in the future.

Great article thanks. But Commands are new for me. I recently did this for a freshly built w10 VM that just would not download and update the OS from the base It so annoying that you even have to do this because the updates hang and timeout, yet once the latest update is manually installed all subsequent updates install without issue. Very helpful!! This never works for me, I always get an error at the Download part. I’ve disabled the pop up blocker but nothing works.

Wish I knew about this three days ago. My PC will not boot up because it says OS out of date. Was in the insider program. Unfortunately Windows update wouldn’t find new builds till weeks later.
